What Nourishes Your Soul? – (Chapter: Chapter Five)
“You ready?”, Spencer said putting her smile back in place.
“Sure”
Ashley followed the girl closely as they walked down the dark alley. “You bringing me down here to murder me or something.”, Ashley exclaimed.
Spencer stopped turning to look at an uneasy Ashley, she leaned in very close to her ear, “Please, it’d be a crime against humanity to deprive the world of a gorgeous body like yours.” Ashley’s breath hitched at the combination of words and warm breath on her skin and couldn’t help the small moan that escaped from her lips. A smirk formed on Spencer’s lips as she continued to walk leaving a surprised Ashley frozen in her place. A blush spread across the brunette’s face as she ran to catch up with a smiling Spencer. They stopped at a red door, it’s paint weathered and chipped.
“You like oriental food, right.”, Spencer asked looking at the girl.
“Of course.”, Ashley smiled and watched as the girl beside her immediately relaxed. Oh cute, she was worried about pleasing me. Oooo pleasing me…(throat clearing and a giggle)..shit did I just moan again. Shit..yep and now she’s smiling. And, now I’m blushing.
“Come on cutie.”, Spencer said as she held open the door for Ashley, making the girl smile.
Walking in the sights and smells overwhelmed Ashley’s senses. She finally surveying her surroundings realizing the were now in what looked like a butcher shop. The small room was stark white with sleeves to the right of them meant to hold meats of all kinds and the floors were a faded olive green color. However, oddly enough it didn’t hold the smell of a butcher shop, the air was filled with the delicious smells of fried foods, garlic and ginger. Spencer looked over at Ashley and smiled watching as the girl looked all around her. Then a small man welding a cleaver came through the long, plastic looking blinds that must lead to the back of the store. The man yelled something loudly in Chinese without looking up as he wiped his hand on the apron around his waist. This made Ashley actually jump as she unconsciously grabbed Spencer’s arm. Shit…now some crazy little Chinese man is going to kill me. Spencer looked over at the girl making her chuckle a little. A female voice chuckled loudly spouting Chinese, making Ashley turn to the voice. She was surprised to see it was Spencer speaking, the girl wore a wide-grin. The man finally looked up and Ashley watched a smile light up his face. He went over to the counter and flung the cleaver into the wooden cutting board there. He came around to the side of the counter they were on, his arms suddenly outstretched as he chuckled loudly. Ashley watched with confused-eyes as Spencer rushed into the man’s arms hugging him warmly. Okay, now I’m so freakin’ confused. What in the hell is going on? Spencer looked over at Ashley and shook her head, suddenly realizing the girl’s confusion. She reached out her arm to Ashley, the other still draped over the man’s shoulder. Ashley went over to them slowly and apprehensively, letting Spencer take her by the hand when she got close to them. Spencer removed the arm draped from the man’s shoulder and pointed to Ashley as she said something enthusiastically to the man in Chinese. He looked at Ashley and another wide smile spread across his features as he nodded his head and looked at Ashley again then at Spencer. He replied happily and took Ashley by surprise by taking her hand in both of his shaking it excitedly.
